* This is an .stl file digital download only - NOT a printed model, blank, or ring. It has been extensively tested and used with resin 3D printers. Results with FDM printers are unknown

* Due to the size of the file, it has been compressed and made into a zip file. It will need to be unzipped after purchase and download

* Native dimensions are approximately 7.63" (193.67mm) long X 1.23" (31.24mm) in diameter, with the honeycomb cells being 3mm edge to edge.

* Resizing of file can be accomplished using a slicer program, including converting inches to mm if necessary. The length and diameter can be changed in your slicer program, but keep in mind the honeycomb cell dimensions will be altered if you do so.

* Depending on the size of your printer's build plate, multiple honeycomb structures can be printed simultaneously. We recommend using a flex plate for easy and damage free removal of the prints from the build plate.

* For printing a cylindrical honeycomb insert with superior turning properties, we suggest using a 50/50 mix of ANYCUBIC® Tough Resin and ANYCUBIC® ABS Like Resin Pro 2. We have found this mix to be superior in every way and will produce an easy to turn and polish ring blank with no chipping properties.

* Once printed, properly cleaned and UV cured, the printed honeycomb insert will fit in a 1 1/2" (ID) PVC pipe to be used for pressure casting with resin.. After it has been pressure cast and cured, you will need to cut the rod into 1/2" thick ring blanks. Using a bandsaw with a custom round rod cutting jig is the safest method to cut the cast rod.
